The new version of the "Technical Requirements for Decorative Applications of Natural Slate" has been officially released, which makes mandatory provisions on the cleavage structure, anti slip grade, and outdoor weather resistance indicators of slate. Slate belongs to low-grade metamorphic mudstone, with complete natural plate-like cleavage, which can be easily cleaved into flat thin sheets along the bedding plane.
